Create Playlist
1. Press Main Menu: Export > Create Playlist File

2. Specify playlist settings
Choose the type of playlist used:

  • M3U - standard type of the playlist file. Most of audio players support this type of playlist.
  • M3U Extended - the same as "M3U Playlist" except that it's optimized for using in WinAmp.
  • PLS - old type of a playlist, generally supported by the oldest audio players.

3. Choose the filename format
Choose the needful playlist filename format using the combo-box. If you haven't found the mask you like you can create it yourself, press to open Playlist Mask Editor.

1. Open "Playlist Mask Editor"
Click button to open "Playlist Mask Editor".

2. Customize a mask
Choose a mask to customize in Masks List (). It is shown in Mask edit-box (). Use mask buttons () and/or punctuation marks to create a suitable mask.

Click '<<< New Mask >>>' in Masks List (). Use mask buttons () or punctuation marks to create a suitable mask.

Mask Buttons:

Button Description
<number> Include the number of the track on the CD into the playlist filename of MP3 file.
<artist> Include artist name into the playlist filename of MP3 file.
<album> Include album title into the playlist filename of MP3 file.
<title> Include the title of the song into the playlist filename of MP3 file.
<year> Include year into the playlist filename of MP3 file.
<genre> Include genre into the playlist filename of MP3 file.

Example:
Artist = "Linkin Park"
Album = "Hybrid Theory"
Year = "2001"
Style = "Punk Rock"
Format: "<artist> <year> '<album>"
Playlist: "Linkin Park 2001 'Hybrid Theory'.m3u".
Format: "<year> - <Album>"
Playlist: "2001 - Hybrid Theory.m3u".
Format: "<genre> - <artist> (<year>)"
Playlist: "Punk Rock - Linkin Park (2001).m3u".

Control Buttons

Add Mask Create a new mask.
Clone Mask Duplicate the mask selected in the Masks List.
Delete Mask Delete the mask selected in the Masks List.
Move Up Move up the mask selected in the Masks List.
Move Down Move down the mask selected in the Masks List.
Save Save the mask:
  • Save - save the changed mask
  • Save as New Mask - save the changed mask as a new one.

3. Define the symbols to replace
On the 'Symbol Replacement' tab () define the symbols prohibited to use in a filename with your own (optional).

4. Save the mask
Press Save button to save the changed mask.
